Dechainees.com : Why ? For whom ?
Because we are fed up with being nice and making concessions, because we do not want to waste our
time any more by trying to discuss with the medical staff and bureaucrats of Health Ministry and to realize, months and years later,
that nothing has changed the way we want.
Because, in order to obtain more respect for women as far as their sexuality is concerned, we need to yell that
it is no longer acceptable
to go on like that.
We want to prompt netsurfers
to think about the way society and medical teams try to bring the expression of women's
sexuality
under control, to suppress the power of their bodies and
to deny their ability to
enjoy childbirth following their rhythm and inner feelings...
We want to denounce the physical and/or verbal violence inflicted on those who refuse to fit in the mould
of
routine hospital care.
Women are too often the victims of lack of consideration or
even assaulted at the moment of giving
birth. Our mental conditioning is so strong that it is hard to realize how wrong things are. Should a doubt come to
our mind, we immediately cut it off : "After all, it is not so important. There is nothing more to
expect than a healthy baby and her mother still alive".
We also dedicate a place to
abortion and
female genital mutilations, deeply
painful and important topics. We must stay
aware of it and be ready to defend women's rights when and where necessary.
Dechainees.com is for all women, already or nearly liberated. Men are also welcome if they are not afraid to know
about women's secrets and mysteries.
We want the information to be concise and we may often adopt a caustical style. You will surely be able to find more
information on the Net. A few links are nonetheless indicated on the right column and in article headings).

complete freedom of position, of movement and of expression, like in a sexual intercourse. Giving birth is an act of love.

Words of Gynaecologists (we are in 2008) :
- Account of a woman : I can clearly remember this gynaecologist who put his big fingers into my vagina, making me howl
with pain. He said : "If it suffers for one finger, what will it be without an epidural ?"
- OK for waterbirth. I will give them water... with a pressure washer !
- Homebirth ? I agree with 100%. Once 2 or 3 have died we will be able to work in peace.
- Women, as they are birthing, are like me when I go to the dentist. I open my mouth but I don't want to know
what is happening inside.
Despite of many efforts, hospitals midwives still do not do better. They plead their cause saying :

Fortunately, independant midwives are here to take care of "spaced-out patients" !
